Aeroplane Makes Emergency Landing after Passenger Finds Live Mouse in Their Food - Tuko.co.ke

A mouse broke free from an in-flight meal that was delivered to a passenger on a flight from Norway to Spain, forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing in Denmark.

According to WORLD NEWS EXPLORER , the Scandinavian Airlines flight was heading from Oslo, Norway, to Malaga, Spain.

Jarle Borrestad, a passenger told the WORLDNEWSEXPLORER that he was seated beside the person whose food the mouse was found in. He stated the mouse darted out as she opened the packed food.

He stated that he covered his pants legs with socks to prevent the mouse from climbing up, but emphasized that everyone remained quite composed and “were not stressed at all.”

A representative for the airline, Oystein Schmidt, told AFP that the emergency landing in Copenhagen, Denmark was compliant with corporate protocols because rodents, including mice, can be dangerous. Since rodents may gnaw through electrical wire, airlines typically have severe policies regarding their presence. This was reported by the WORLDNEWSEXPLORER.

Schmidt informed the AFP that “this is something that happens extremely rarely.”

Additionally, Schmidt added that a review of the in-flight meal providers will take place “to ensure this does not happen again.”

The passengers were moved to another plane so they could continue flying to Spain. According to Borrestad, the delay merely prolonged the journey by a few hours.
