  • As of 10:30 A.M. EST on Monday, over 2,100 users had reported problems with Microsoft 365 on the Down Detector website. Of these, 86% had reported problems with Outlook, 9% with Exchange, and 6% with Sharepoint.

 

  • The majority of users were experiencing problems accessing Microsoft Teams calendars and Exchange Online, a cloud-based email server, according to a post made to the Microsoft 365 account on X, now known as Twitter.

 

  • Shortly after reports of problems began to spike sharply, Microsoft announced that it had begun implementing a patch as early as 9:00 A.M. that includes “manual restarts on a subset of machines that are in an unhealthy state.” However, the company did not provide an expected time for complete restoration.

 

  • The business also stated that the outage was probably caused by a “recent change” that has since been undone.
